The Authors
Rodgers Frantz and Marcy Kayser Frantz met in 1979 while Marcy was a student at the Corcoran School of Art and Rod, then Roddy, was the lead singer and lyric writer for the DC new wave band and Warner Bros Recording artists, the Urban Verbs.
They were married in April 1981 and have two sons, Max, 23 years old and Charlie, 20 years old.
Many of their younger friends, teachers, and family members remarked on how unique Max and Charlie are, creative, confident, comfortable speaking with people older than themselves as well as being balanced, intelligent and rooted. It was our attempt to answer the question, “What did you do to raise two children like Max and Charlie?” that resulted in this blog and the book , The Yes Child: A Simple Guide for Raising Great Kids.
